Garasu woke with a start. He looked around and took in his surroundings. He was in a room filled with large tubes, each with a person floating within it. He then looked up at his own test tube, shattered, water leaking over the floor. Garasu stood and looked down at his own body, soaked in the green liquid he had just recently been floating in.
"Orochimaru, you will pay for what you have done to me!" Garasu called out into the semidarkness that enveloped the room. He then began to run toward the exit, being careful to avoid any guards that might be walking around.
Garasu was furious with himself. He was in enemy territory and he had screamed out, maybe even giving away his position. If he was not careful he would not make it to the exit.
Suddenly a kunai flew through the air towards Garasu. He dodged to the left and continued running. He didn't have time to deal with any enemies right now. After a full minute of sprinting Garasu saw his target. There was a light only ten feet away and he ran through it, out of the semidarkness of the research lab and into the bright sunlight. He felt the warmth of the sun on his body and wanted nothing more then to stand still and enjoy this but he knew that he must keep running. Any second now one of Orochimaru's goons would catch up to him, if not Orochimaru himself, and Garasu knew that he was in no condition to fight at the moment.
Three weeks went by and Garasu stayed on the move as he recovered his strength. He trained when he had the time but preferred to lay out in the sun and let it warm him. He had found a nice abandoned house to stay in for a while and had rested there, but he knew he would have to be on his way soon. If Orochimaru found him then he would be killed, or worse, pulled away to that research facility again where the sun never shined.
